Racking my brain for my mothers birthday again this year, I came up with the idea of making her a bulletin board. She is in a rest home and has lots of cards and notes stuck here and there, so I thought it might be a good idea to create a nice space for all those nice reminders of her loved ones. At first I wanted to purchase a cork board and cover it and then I decided to try a card board backing instead, more ecomonical and it worked very nicely. I used a little quilt batting, some simple cream colored cotton and a glue gun and just wapped it up like a gift.
I criscrossed some ribbon attatched with some cute buttons.
Added a bow for hanging, glued to the back...
And decided two would be a nice display on her wall so I made another one..
And there you have it. Love making gifts for people, that way it's really "from the Heart".
Also I decided to give her the
Blessings Card Holder that is so perfect also for photos and cards.
They both look really nice in her room and I think she liked them! Great solutions for not much money!
